Analytics help you evaluate the performance of your content and better understand your user’s experience. Google Analytics is a powerful tool that puts a wide array of data at your fingertips and makes it easy to create shareable reports about the traffic on your site.
Over the past several months, we’ve been working to ensure that all our clients can take full advantage of the insights Google Analytics has to offer. Several members of our team attended a Google Analytics training session at NC State’s McKimmon Center this summer and we have been updating our workflow and documentation in order to optimize our clients’ access to this insightful resource. We are also offering the Google Analytics WordPress Plugin, which makes it easy to monitor analytics data directly from your WordPress dashboard. At this point, we have Google Analytics properties created for most of our client sites.
If you are unsure if Google Analytics is running on your site, or if you want to learn how to make the most of analytics data, contact us! We are currently taking inventory of all of our client sites to ensure that analytics are installed and running properly. If you are not currently collecting analytics data but would like to, contact us to ensure that Google Analytics is installed and running on your site. Although we have properties installed for most of our clients, we have discovered a number of sites that have set up their own analytics independently at some point and in some cases we do not have access to those accounts.
Furthermore, some analytics features, such as monitoring how often a video is played or how many times a document has been downloaded, are only available upon request and must be configured before the data is available. If you think you might need analytics about particular user actions on your site, contact us and we will work with you to set this up.
